“If you are depressed you are living in the past, if you are anxious you are living in the future, if you are at peace you are living in the present” – Lao Tzu
Learn how to meditate and bring more blissful awareness into your everyday tasks and experiences. This workshop will introduce you to the wonderful ancient methods of meditation and mindfulness. Practised regularly they have the power to move the mind from a state of chaos and busyness to a state of quietude and blissfulness, slowing down the hectic rhythm of modern life. There are many benefits a regular meditation practice can bring, helping us lead happier-healthier lives.
The workshop will be led by Steve Anwar a seasoned meditator and certified teacher. Steve has been meditating everyday for over 12 years and teaching for 4 years. In 2016 he completed his 'Master of Wisdom & Meditation Teacher Training studying alongside master meditator David Ji in Carlsbad, California.
“Meditation and mindfulness are simple tools used to step beyond the minds constant chatter or noise but they also teach us to watch and accept what’s arising without any resistance or identifying with the mind's content – the more we meditate the more distance we create between us and our inner noise or dialog – over time we become more accepting of ourselves, our lives and other people – we respond more and react less – we feel more centered and less stressed out. These are truly amazing yet simple tools that anyone can learn and reap multiple rewards. Meditation isn’t about controlling your mind it's about not letting your mind control you”. ~ Steve Anwar
