A bit about me:

My name is Hayley, I am a proud mum, a university lecturer and I love Martial Arts!

Most memorable martial arts moment:

Being asked to be part of the Excel coaching team! I cried (happy tears)

What I love about working at Excel:

We have the most wonderful students and team mates. the best thing is seeing our students grow from their first day on the mats, to smashing the student creed and exceeding their own goals.

My advice for anyone starting on their Excel journey:

Have patience and be kind to yourself! You can’t earn a black belt in a day, enjoy the process because it’s the best part.

My Martial Arts goal:

My short term goal is blackbelt! My ultimate goals are endless, I hope to help so many other people to excel in life, and I would love to experience the grading process overseas with the grandmasters

A random fact about me:

I’ve played in rock bands since I was 15 and also do session work (that means I record my voice for different projects) I’ve done backing vocals for super famous people, and once wrote the music for a TV advert!
